Chinese Export Silver with Gold Overlay Figural Jade Link Bracelet
We were offered an unusual Art Nouveau Art Deco Bracelet.
This bracelet is a Chinese Export Bracelet from the 1920's -1930's.
The bracelet is unique due the style in which it was crafted.
The bracelet is a Chinese Silver Bracelet that is a Link Bracelet.
Each Link is made up of Chinese Figures of everyday Life.
The links are Shaped in a Butterfly Wing Shape with Piercing's
in the Silver Metal
to give it 2 Dimensional Look to the Piece.
The Links are made up of 4 different Scenes.
Links measure: 31 mm X 2 mm or 1.2205" inches X 0.7677"
The Center Link is Designed to Match the Type of Jade
Minute Hole Piercing.
The Focal Point are two Large Darker Antique Apple Green Carved
Jade Pieces in the Shape of the Silver Links..
The Jade is Carved with Butterflies and Flowers with a
Number of Piercing (23)
through the Jade.
Jade Pieces Measure: 35mm X 23 mm in size or
1.378" inches X 0.9055" inches.
The Condition of the Jade is in excellent Condition,
Uncommon for the Age of the Piece.
Most of these pieces that date from the 1920's have Fracturing
or Chipping to the Jade.
The Entire Piece is done with a Layer of Gold Overlay to simulate
the Chinese High Karat Gold Pieces
High Karat Gold was typically used in Chinese Jewelry
of this period.
The Bracelet is marked Silver China.
This piece is a highly collectible piece of Chinese Export Jewelry.
