Back in the late 1970's-1980's we would sometimes see one or two pieces
in the jewelry stores of a carved jade net.
The jade piece was completely carved out in the form of a three dimensional
net with various carved figurals.
We had the opportunity to find one in our last estate acqusition.
The carved jade piece has crabs, and fruit carved incorporated into the
40 years ago, I would have considered this as a novelty piece of jade
due to my interests in jade were in the more traditional pieces.
40 years later I find myself with a greater appreciation for these
jade net pieces.
