Sitting with a dealer friend at our last attended show,
I noticed one of his cases was topped off
with several large brown paper grocery bags.
Our Dealer friend asked me if I would like the entire contents of bags
since he didn't do Costume Jewelry.
I shared with our Friend that even if it was a great offer but
I would go through the bags for him and separate the items for him.
As we talked and I separated the items,
I came across a bunch of sterling silver pieces that he missed.
The next grouping was designer pieces which he had no idea
what these pieces were.
The other pieces in used and unsalable condition
I bagged up for giveaways.
While I was working on the bags, a customer came to sit with us.
I found out through our dealer friend, this customer comes to visit and sell his pickings.
He was what he called a "real" picker.
The customer would hit up all the estate sales in his area and glean though the items.
As a "thank you" our dealer friend had me go through the Picker's items.
I found several items.
One of the pieces turned out to be a Vintage Gump's Sterling Silver Bracelet.
Our Dealer Friend was Thrilled at what I found in the packages
and he didn't have to spend his time on the
so called "junk" someone dropped off to him.
I ended up with a pretty nice piece of jewelry.
It was a nice day finding treasure Where we least expected to find treasure.
Have a Great Week!
