Vintage Estate High Karat Chinese Gold Jewelry
We’ve been seeing high Karat Chinese gold from time to time
in estate offerings and acquisitions.
The typical design is a bracelet with the Four Seasons or
Calligraphy design gold link bracelets.
Recently we’ve been seeing the other older pieces.
We’ve also found that the Impressed Hallmark on the Reverse.
When I shared several pieces of these jewelry pieces to a
very good friend who is also a Antique and Vintage Jeweler,
he shared these pieces did nothing for him.
But these pieces are still interesting and great study pieces
in how gold was used in Asian Designed Jewelry.
An interesting note, I recently reviewed a report on Global Gold Sales
in various forms i.e.: Bullion jewelry etc.
High Karat Gold Jewelry showed a small spike in sales.
The Areas globally that showed this increase in High Karat Jewelry
Sales was the Middle Eastern and Asian Countries.
Women in these countries typically kept high karat gold jewelry
as personal wealth.
So I guess it is wise for us all to keep a bracelet or two around
in our collections.
Happy Treasure Hunting!
